For example: The SIRONA Stock Control system holds the dimensions and weight of the particular stock item. The Warehouse Management System holds the maximum weight and storage capacity for each bin location and so can select appropriate put away locations for every stock item thereby optimising space to stock items.

In a similar way the system can indicate where stock will be located to fulfil an order based on a variety of factors over and above the stock itself, such as age or pack size required. In this way stock rotation is maintained automatically.
